At the Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta is "home" to many famous people including Bobby Jones, and Margret Mitchell. there is also monument of a Lion representing and honoring the unknown Confederate soldiers that died during Sherman's march to the sea.
It is said that on November 14th around twilight you can hear a sad, disembodied voice reciting the "Roll Call of the Dead".
Now, I do believe in ghosts, I have seen some things, but I have always had a skepticism for stories that give you an invite to a sighting. You know what I mean, the whole who, what, when, and where.
Either way it is a great story. I do find myself a touch put off by the fact that the cemetery holds such events as "Tunes from the Tombs" and "Run like Hell 5 K". That being said, I, oddly enough, don't have an issue with the ghost tours.
